Podemus, a popular French podcasting plate-form / directory / community (in French) have just launched the World Podcast Forum – WPF, ‘an information and communication portal for the diverse and global podcast community’. The WPF includes forums and a blog and is no doubt hoping to build up an international community around these.
One thing crosses my mind as I take a look – if you want to build a global community you might as well go to the trouble of translating your home page into one or two languages other than English which accounts for slightly less than half of the world’s internet traffic. No? Then maybe try and build on this by encouraging the fledgling community to translate it into their native languages.
Its early days I suppose and they have podcasting experts in 6 continents – maybe they’ll get busy with some translations.

It’s still perhaps a new location to ply your pods or find multilingual, off the beaten – tracks. South America seems to be well represented already.
