The naked civil avatar

January 20th, 2007 · No Comments

secondlife.gif Picture the scene - Jean Michel Billaut, recently promoted ‘Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur’ by President Chirac for the promotion of the Internet in France, walks buff naked into the Socialist Party conference rooms to be greeted by right-wing fanatics throwing hand grenades. Showing remarkable ’sang foid’, Monsieur Billaut calmly made his way into the projection room where he was shown a video of Ségolène Royal, the party candidate for the upcoming Presidential elections, who’s voice he was unable to hear, because of the noisy National Front nutters busy storming the place.

These unlikely events took place last Thursday at the PS Comity HQ in Second Life. J. M. Billaut, having heard the rumor that Ségolène Royal had opened a comity in the virtual world, hurriedly equipped himself with an avatar and without further ado (or clothing), set off in search of the fabled place. To his misfortune he found it. I’m pleased to say he survived to take the screenshots.
