According to Marius van Bergen, CEO of Chinglish.com, people need a Chinese Input Method Editor (IME) installed on their PC or a Chinese operating system to be able to write in Chinese - “By providing a Web-based IME embedded in Chinglish webmail, we have solved this problem”.

Marius van Bergen goes on to explain: “Currently 300 million Chinese people are learning English and 30 million non-Chinese speakers are studying Chinese. These numbers will continue to grow and Chinglish.com sees its mission in facilitating communication between speakers of Chinese & English”.

“The service is unique, it is free, and it will remain free.”
