Webwag could be a serious alternative to another French portal site, Netvibes (Nb. netvibes, on-line barely a year & already used by more than 5 million people as their personel internet portal) or Pageflakes from Germany, Goowy from the USA…

So another newcomer lands in the galaxy of the personized portal. Webwag, conceived by Franck Poisson, proposes numerous functions much in the same vein as Netvibes, & yes, there’s even a few more.

There’s the installation of a toolbar that allows you to generate a widgit on your page by a simple click on the option ‘Add to my webwag’, but also the creation of a blog and a webwag community where ‘webwaggers’ will be able to exchange info & content.

webwag-home-small.jpgAccording to Franck Poisson, “Webwag differentiates itself from other personel portal sites by placing more emphasis on search, a domain that I know well, while giving third-party developers from the open source community the opportunity to be remunerated for their widgits which will further enrich Webwag”.

“The WebwagFactory could be a marketplace for their know-how. The widgets that they create will be rewarded via a pay par use basis. A corner will be dedicated to them for the promotion of their blog, their C.V. & their past & future realisations”.
